On a Roll - second tutorial uploaded

Well they say while the sun shines make hay - well I say, when I have a spare minute to myself make the most of it!

Here is the second installment to add to my video tutorial library - Ella is not talking in this one (she is tucked up in bed) and Jim is at work - Just me and my video camera - could become an obsession!

I am a bit more organised this time and I have added a few lovely finished articles at the front and end.

My first Youtube Video Tutorial !!

I have been thinking of doing this for quite some time - and I have finally done my first one - this video is my first attempt at trying to capture a few basic techniques on camera.  This really is a trial - I taped it myself and had my first attempt of editing on my new Macbook Pro (might I add that I love this laptop) - I have uploaded it to Youtube and also put it on my website - from this video I have learnt alot and will be making more and redoing this one so it looks a bit more professional ( not having Ella talking in the background might also be an idea!).  but I was excited that the first attempt wasn't too bad - 

I have a much more exciting venture coming up very soon - sort of like a tv show for the internet - but I will tell you more when I know more myself - how wonderful!!

Lampwork creation for Feb Edition of Creative Beading

Here is my latest creation for submission to Creative Beading magazine - It should be in the Feb 09 Edition of the mag.  The beads were made last night and the jewellery created this morning and then express posted to the publisher this afternoon. It really should of been there last week but you know how we leave things to the very very last minute.  I hope it gets to Simon on time!!.

custom order completed & garden pics

I finished designing and making a custom order yesterday - I had sort of been putting it off as I have been doing a lot of custom jobs lately that I felt a little over it - I am sure some of you will know what I mean - having pressure of deadlines sometimes takes the fun out of craft.  I haven't done anything for myself at all lately - even may practice beads are snapped by customers

a few of the last custom orders have gone before I had a chance to photograph them which is a shame - I really should take pictures before I let them go but time has gotten the better of me lately.

Today I am going to try to start some crocheted groovy mary jane style slippers that I found on Ravelry - but I will have to wait for Ella to go to sleep.  At the moment she is running around with her imaginary friends Ozzie and Oko.- not sure where the names have come from but she has had these two friends for quite some time.

Any way here are a few photos that I have taken of the jewellery and some lovely Gardenias and David Austin Roses that are blooming in my garden at the moment - we have been having some lovely rain over the last couple of days and everything is looking lovely - Have a lovely Sunday everyone

      

Not much time for personal crafting at the moment

I have been sooooo busy with custom order for my lampwork beads that all the projects that I want to do are sitting in a corner collecting dust. 

But I have managed to get a few things done for the shop and my website - I have been having great success with our recent advertising and project submissions in Creative Beading Magazine that I had to create a few more beading kits for our range - nothing to complicated - (seems to be alot of novice beaders out there that love kits)

Had to have something for Christmas in the next couple of posts I will show you my lampwork christmas bracelet that is a collection of beads from lampwork artists around Australia that I put together last christmas - it is awesome - so I must remember to photograph it and show it off.
