Circular Knitting - Learner in action watch out!

Yesterday I started a circular knitting project - I have never knitted on circular needles before and actually I still class myself as a beginner knitter with the two straight needles.  So I said to myself, why not jump in the deep end! - only way to learn fast, swim swim swim , kick those little legs. 

Since meeting Henri from Biggan Design and also having her garment on the front cover of the new Australian Knitting Mag vol 1 - I wanted to do the Janet top - so I am giving it a go.  Don't look too closely at the knitting I have already made a few mistakes but it is not going into any competitions.  It is solely for me and to hone those knitting skills.

Beanie & Neckwarmer with Bling

I have been busy getting some stock together for an upcoming Handmade Market day in Ipswich - here are a couple of items that I have finished.

A crocheted beanie made from Vero 10 ply yarn

and a neckwarmer made with Panda Zoomy and I have added some bling with some resin beads with Swarovski crystals

The neckwarmer is a pattern from Ravelry and is done in Brioche Rib

Hopefully they will go down a treat!!

Hop Hop Hop - There's a Rabbit in our House!

This little guy is the reason I wanted to learn to knit - I have been wanting to make one of these rabbits for ages.  So with the help of Dee (our knitting instructor at our shop) I had a go - no where near as hard as I thought it would be.  I got the pattern from Fuzzy Mitten - easy to follow and you can also get a pattern for clothing.  I am going to make a few of these as I just love them and Ella is trying to run off with this one.
